Bronx, NY: A Bronx family was wiped out yesterday when the father fatally stabbed his wife yesterday and torched their apartment -- killing their 1-year-old daughter in a blaze fueled by gasoline he spread around the home, authorities said. The maniac dad, Vincente Cordero, later died from smoke inhalation. Cordero, 34, allegedly knifed Kety Sanchez, 30, three times in the chest shortly before 8 a.m. in the apartment on Morris Avenue near East 183rd Street in University Heights. He then lit the fire inside the fifth-floor apartment that killed their daughter, Keity, who was found face down in her crib, cops said. 
Norfolk, VA: The man wanted in the killing of a Booker T. Washington High School teacher was arrested Wednesday in Jacksonville, Fla., Norfolk police said. Investigators had been looking for Frederick Thomas Hoskins since Friday, when his girlfriend, Karen R. Hoffman, 41, was found dead in her house in the 8300 block of Chesapeake Blvd. Hoskins was arrested by Jacksonville police while he was sitting in a vehicle in a shopping center. 
Los Angeles, CA: A 48-year-old woman was fatally stabbed by her boyfriend late Saturday in Boyle Heights while her 23-year-old son suffered a minor injury trying to protect her, authorities said. The victim was identified as Narda Huerta of Los Angeles. 
Foster, OK: A Pernell volunteer firefighter and his twin sons whose bodies were found in his burned rural Foster home died from a murder-suicide, the state medical examiner has ruled. The bodies of David Ables, 45, and his 5-year-old sons Dalton and Wyatt were found March 5 after the Garvin County Sheriff's Department received a call about a man threatening to harm himself and his children. 
Palmetto, LA: On March 6th, 2011 the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office received a report of homicide at the address of 690 Joseph Road, Palmetto, LA 71358. When Officers arrived, they discovered two female victims deceased inside a vehicle. Each victim appeared to have multiple gunshot wounds. The female victims were identified as 43 year-old Burnella McKnight Rideau and 47 year old Jeannette Oliney. 
Mantua Township, NJ: A man killed his estranged wife’s boyfriend, then turned the gun on himself Sunday afternoon in the Villages of Berkley development. Stephen Newcomb, 45, was coming down the stairs from the apartment he shared with his assailant’s estranged wife in the 1000 block of Tristram Circle when he was killed at about 3:40 p.m., said police. He was hit by more than one of the five shots fired by Michael Targett, 52, whose last known address was in Sicklerville, according to authorities. 
Raceland, LA: A 42-year-old Raceland woman found dead in a water -filled ditch on Brule Guillot Road Monday afternoon has been identified, and her on-again, off-again boyfriend admitted shooting her and dumping her body after an argument, police said. Sherry Gautreaux, 205 Hospital Drive, was found by three men fishing in the remote, wooded area near the Terrebonne-Lafourche line, Terrebonne sheriff's deputies said. 
Tallahassee, FL: A domestic dispute ends in gunfire in Tallahassee. Both the shooter and his victim are now dead. Lynn Dyson says a man shot at her brother as he was taking the trash out. "I guess because he was outside." She said. Her brother ran inside their apartment unharmed. But, it was not the last shot fired. Dyson said, "We heard another shot and we went to the windows and he was standing over the lady. He shot her; he said something else to her; he shot her again; and then he put the pistol to his head and shot himself--just shot himself; standing right there." Tallahassee Police say 45-year-old Donald Wigglesworth and 37-year-old Theresa Sullivan were still alive when they arrived at Willow Bend Apartments on Blair Stone Road just before 10:00 Monday morning. 
Ramhurst, GA: The deaths of a Ramhurst man and his son have been ruled a “murder-suicide” by authorities after the state crime lab determined the cause of death as carbon monoxide poisoning. Murray County Sheriff Howard Ensley said investigators found a hose connected to the exhaust pipe that was run into the interior of the 1984 Corvette where he discovered the bodies of David Wayne Graham, 39, and his son, Easton Blayde Graham, 3, early Tuesday morning. 
Bend, OR: As the grisly details of Sandy Meyer's murder slowly surface, her family is just now beginning to realize how much healing lies ahead. It was not the police, but her family who uncovered most of the gruesome and unnerving details in the case. Henrico County, VA: A four-day manhunt for Gregory L. Nelson Jr. ended safely Saturday in central Florida, 760 miles from his Chesterfield County home. Nelson was apprehended by the U.S. Marshals Service in Kissimmee without incident and is awaiting extradition to Virginia, where he is charged with first-degree murder in the slaying of Susana Cisneros, who family members said was 9 months pregnant with his child. 
Manhattan, NY: A New York man was being held Saturday in Anne Arundel County after he was arrested on a fugitive warrant in the killing of his estranged wife in a Manhattan hair salon. Michael Kenny, 42, of Brooklyn was captured Friday night by Anne Arundel County officers after a low-speed chase that ended in the 700 block of Mattawa Court in Millersville, said Lt. James Fredericks, a police spokesman. Kenny, described by the New York Daily News as a "crazy-eyed ex-con" who was the target of a nationwide manhunt, was wanted in the stabbing death of Denise Kenny of Queens in a Midtown salon Thursday. 
Bronx, NY: Hours after a strangled Bronx mom was laid to rest Tuesday, her abusive ex-cop husband was hauled out of his crash pad in handcuffs. Eddy Coello was arrested by detectives at a relative's apartment in the Bronx and driven to a police stationhouse soon after the wrenching funeral of wife Tina Adovasio. "The detectives knocked on the door, announced themselves as police," NYPD Deputy Commissioner Paul Browne said. "He came to the door." Coello, 38, said nothing as he was busted on second-degree murder charges. 
Meridian, The sibling of a young attorney killed in a parking lot shooting at a Meridian Walgreens Friday night says a few days before his death, his brother told him he was being stalked by the suspected shooter. Police have identified the suspect as Robert Hall, 42, of Meridian — an employee of the Ada County Sheriff’s Office who is not a certified deputy. Hall is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of criminal defense attorney Emmett Corrigan, 30, also of Meridian. 
Nashville, TN: Metro Police say a man shot his girlfriend and then tried to kill himself. The shooter was rushed to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Sherica Gray, 22, reportedly died at the scene. 
Middletown, OH: Family and friends gathered Sunday to comfort each other and share memories of Ernie Sexton, a man they said “would do anything to help anybody.” Sexton, a well-known local musician, was shot and killed Saturday in Frisch’s parking lot by James J. Riley, the estranged husband of Sexton’s girlfriend, Renae Riley, a server at the restaurant. Police said James Riley fatally shot the 55-year-old with a 12-gauge shotgun before turning the weapon on himself and committing suicide. Family members said Sexton was trying to help his girlfriend leave a volatile marriage. 
Cranford, NJ: A 22-year-old Rutgers University student was arrested tonight and charged with first-degree murder in connection with the slaying of a female student who was found dead inside the suspect’s Cranford home, authorities said. William J. Parisio is accused of killing Pamela Schmidt, a 22-year-old Warren Township woman who was expected to graduate from Rutgers’ New Brunswick campus this spring. 
Center Point, AL: Authorities have released the names of a couple killed in an apparent murder-suicide in northeast Jefferson County. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office identified the victims as Jennifer (Jenny Lynn Smith) Whitworth, 30, and her husband, Joshua Whitworth, 33, said Chief Deputy Randy Christian. The couple were reportedly estranged. 
Brooklyn, NY: Slain Brooklyn cop Alain Schaberger's devastated fiancée said Sunday that her life could never be the same without him. "It's like I'm waking up in a nightmare," Shoshone Peguese, 45, said, holding back tears outside the couple's home in Cortlandt Manor, Westchester County. Peguese recalled kissing Schaberger goodbye Saturday night - just hours before he fell to his death in a scuffle with a ex-con in Brooklyn. 
Red Bank, SC: Friends and family this morning are trying to make sense of a late Tuesday night domestic shooting that took the lives of four people, including two young children, in Red Bank. Family members were coming and going from the house at 149 Farm Chase Drive, carrying personal belongings, including photos. Lexington County Sheriff’s deputies said Amanda Lynne Peake’s estranged boyfriend shot her and her two children late Tuesday, then turned the gun on himself. 
Lehi, UT: Investigators say a man who shot and killed his estranged wife before turning the gun on himself had apparently planned the event. Police say Stephen Brad Davis, 25, fatally shot his estranged wife, 23-year-old Sarah Davis, Tuesday night before shooting himself. He remained in extremely critical condition Wednesday. 
Lower Macungie Township, PA: A veterinarian from Montgomery County has been arrested in the slaying of a pregnant veterinary technician from Lower Macungie Township. David Adam Rapoport, 30, of Lansdale, was arraigned today before District Judge Jacob Hammond on charges of homicide and homicide of an unborn child in last week's death of Jennifer Snyder, 27, of Kressler Road. He was committed to Lehigh County Prison without bail. 
Southfield, MI: Daphane Ramey, 28, of Southfield was murdered on the front porch of her home at 6:54 p.m. in the 27000 block of Marshall March 17, her 7-year-old son and 12-year-old niece inside, police said. The shooter, believed to be the victim’s ex-boyfriend, Mitchell Leonard Kitchens, 31, of Detroit, was on the run from police overnight until he was found dead in his car near 12 Mile and Woodward in Royal Oak at 9:30 a.m. March 18 of an apparent gunshot wound to the head. 
New London, CT: A New London man is facing a murder charge after he allegedly stabbed his girlfriend to death. 31-year-old Evens Saint-Hilaire was arraigned Monday in New London Superior Court. He has been placed on a suicide watch and bond was kept at $1 million. The Day reports that the victim has been identified as Lynda Sanon, 25, of Wallingford. 
Fond du Lac, WI: Two Fond du Lac police officers were shot Sunday morning, one fatally, while responding to the home of a man who was firing a gun. At the end of a six-hour standoff, the man who shot the officers was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said. Craig Birkholz, 28, who survived combat tours to war zones before returning home to work as a law enforcement officer, was shot in the upper chest and died at the scene. 
Amor, MN: A 16-year-old girl killed in a murder-suicide in western Minnesota was shot was shot multiple times by a boy, who then turned the gun on himself. Otter Tail County Sheriff Brian Schlueter says Tabitha Lee Belmonte was found dead Monday of multiple gunshot wounds in a house near Amor. Seventeen-year-old Dylan Taylor Cox had a self-inflicted gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital, where he died Tuesday. 
Carteret, NJ: Middlesex County authorities are seeking to extradite from New York the live-in boyfriend of a Carteret mother now charged with strangling her in their apartment. Miiddlesex County Prosecutor Bruce Kaplan said in a statement released today that Shawn Humphrey, 36, was charged with the murder of Dana Ciccolella, 32, in their apartment on John Street. 
Oklahoma City, OK: An Edmond attorney was killed by her ex-husband, whom she had filed a protective order against, in a murder suicide Tuesday in Oklahoma City, police said. Freda J. Cross, 58, was found shot to death about 6:15 p.m. in a car parked in front of an empty convenience store at N Western Avenue and NW 26. Her ex-husband Michael J. McCreary, 61, also was found shot to death in a car parked next to hers. 
Logan, OH: Evidence is adding up against the estranged husband and in-laws of the young mother whose body was found stuffed in a septic tank Tuesday night. The FBI said tires from the car that had been used in Summer Inman's abduction had been found. Her estranged husband, William Inman II, was seen by witnesses trading them in for a used set after allegedly kidnapping Summer with the help of his parents. 
Park Rapids, MN: A family tragedy unfolded Tuesday night as a husband and wife died in a murder suicide in Park Rapids. Police said Gregory Duane Anderson, 45, shot his wife Dawn at their home on Birch Briar Lane, then turned a high powered rifle on himself. Both bodies were found on the front porch. Police Chief Terry Eilers said the couple’s youngest son was in the home at the time and was threatened also. The young man ran for help screaming to the neighbors. 
Ashville, AL: A husband and wife are dead today after an apparent murder-suicide, authorities said Thursday. St. Clair County Coroner Dennis Russell identified the body of Brenda Crocker Potts, 55, of 32475 U.S. 231 in Ashville. Her husband, Kenneth Potts, 58, had apparently shot her. Russell pronounced Mrs. Potts dead on the scene at 8:20 p.m. Wednesday. The cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds. 
San Bernardino, CA: A San Bernardino man allegedly killed his 16-year-old son and wounded his wife and four other children, including his 8-year-old daughter, in an early morning rampage in the city’s Del Rosa neighborhood, authorities said. The attack was so bloody and vicious that investigators still were trying to determine what weapon, or weapons, were used. Ian Roderiquez, 35, was arrested on suspicion of murder, attempted murder and torture, said Cindy Bachman, spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department. 
Lenexa, MO: A Denison woman with a Topeka background who was shot and killed Wednesday at a Johnson County road construction site was the victim of domestic violence, police said Thursday. The woman’s husband was later found dead in Kansas City, Mo., in what police believe to be a murder-suicide. Lenexa police on Thursday identified the woman as Leslie Price, 47. 
Mocksville, NC: A Davie County man was charged with murder Wednesday after authorities found his girlfriend dismembered in a brush pile near their home. David Earl Hughes, 56, is accused of killing Patricia Yvette Swaim, 49, of 184 Serenity Lane in Mocksville, said Davie County Sheriff Andy Stokes. 
Eight Mile, AL: An Eight Mile man and a woman were found shot to death inside his Eight Mile home this morning in what appears to be a murder-suicide, according to Mobile County Sheriff’s Office. Lori Myles, a spokeswoman with the Sheriff’s Office, said the man was shot once and the woman was shot twice. She said deputies are not ready to definitively classify it as a murder-suicide until after they complete their investigation. Officials identified the victims as John Woodrow Uptagraft and Patricia Evans. 
Milton, NY: A Milton man hanged himself after killing his wife Friday, Saratoga County Coroner John DeMartino said. Police were called to the scene at a home near the intersection of Greenfield Avenue and Arnold Street at about 8 a.m. Friday and found James Barnes, 41, of Milton, and his wife, Tonya Barnes, 40, of Schuylerville, dead. 
Palmdale, CA: The boyfriend of a murdered single mother of six has been arrested by sheriff's deputies in Palmdale. Kenneth Roger Griffin, 51, was escorted into the Palmdale sheriff's station by his attorney around 8 p.m. Monday. He met with homicide detectives, and was arrested and booked on suspicion of murder in the death of 41-year-old Andrea Perry. 
Irving, TX: Desaree Hoskins, 18, and Mischell Fuller, 37, were fatally stabbed by a man who admitted to the crime, Irving police said. According to investigators, the mother and daughter died at the hands of the older woman's live-in boyfriend, 38-year-old Tyrone Cade. 
Tullahassee, OK: Friends and co-workers called a Tullahassee woman “genuine” and “loving” after learning of her death. Town Trustee and Muskogee Phoenix employee Walter “Mae” Gaines, 49, was shot Sunday night after what law enforcement called a domestic argument. Gaines’ husband, Marvin Gaines, 62, called the Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office and reported the shooting death about 11 p.m. Sunday, said Sheriff Bob Colbert. 
Mishawaka, IN: Hours before the disappearance Kim Stout last week, she told her live in boyfriend to “just pack his things and move out.” That’s according to court documents filed today that charge Stout’s boyfriend with murder. Not only was 30-year old Jorge Huerta Cardenas allegedly driving Stout’s car for a day or two after she disappeared, police say they found blood and hair in the trunk. 
Pawtucket, RI: man stabbed his wife to death and then killed himself, Pawtucket police said Tuesday. Maria Almeida Turmel, 32, was found dead inside her Pawtucket home on 63 Chartlon Ave. at about 3 p.m. on Monday. Police said that she had been stabbed numerous times. 
Davenport, FL: A 32-year-old man is accused of strangling his girlfriend and leaving her body for a week at their Davenport mobile home, in a bedroom sealed with packing tape. Donald Failey Jr., who moved to Florida from New Hampshire last year, was arrested Wednesday morning in Hendry County, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office. Failey admitted killing Tara Romonoski, 27, at their mobile home at 235 Jeremy Drive, deputies said. 
Roanoke, VA: Three months after Terry and Heather Dehart's 2007 wedding in Salem, the trouble began. There were protective orders to keep Terry from his wife, a divorce, assault charges, court-ordered anger management classes and reconciliation. The couple's tumultuous relationship climaxed Tuesday, when police said Terry Dehart fatally shot his ex-wife just before 2 a.m., and then turned the gun on himself in a failed suicide attempt. 
Rio Hondo, TX: The husband of Rio Hondo teacher Sonia Perez and five other men have been indicted on capital murder charges in an alleged murder-for-hire plot. Authorities say Julio Cesar Perez, 41, hired five men to kill his wife in March to collect on a life insurance policy on the woman who was named Teacher of the Year in San Benito.
