Sauser, 42, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 59-year-old Terry L. Sauser. Deputies were sent to the Sauser home at 420 South St. around 8:30 p.m. after a 911 call that a person had been shot. They found that Terry Sauser had been shot in the chest and was in critical condition. Portage, IL: Police are holding the estranged husband of a 50-year-old woman in connection with her Sunday night homicide at a local business. Frederick Cashner, 54, of rural Valparaiso, was taken into custody by the Porter County Sheriff’s Department SWAT team at his residence without incident. Portage Police Chief Mark Becker said charges were pending. Police said the killing happened after 10 p.m. at Mystic Moon, 5830 US 6, Suite B. Police responded to a 911 phone call at 10:22 p.m., but the dispatchers heard only faint breathing on the other end. Clintonville, OH: Police say a man shot and killed his wife in their Clintonville home yesterday, knowing she had been planning to leave him. Then, he took his own life a few feet away. A son, 22, and daughter, 16, were at home and heard the gunshots about 6:25a.m., police said. The two found their parents in their bedroom and called 911, police said. The couple also had a 13-year-old son who had been staying at a friend's house down the street. Francis J. Doyle, 45, and Barbara M.
