Traveling From Hue to Hoi An
Our trip started at 9 am. We hired a car and driver through local travel agency Huracars to take us from Hoi An to Hue.

Stop in Lap An lagoon and Lang Co Beach
Our the first stop before arriving in Hoi An was Lang Co Beach and Lap An lagoon, skip Elephant Spring. Lang Co is a beautiful, almost clean beach, you can swim here instead Elephant Spring. After 2 hours driving we stop to drink coffee and see fisher man work in their farm in Lap An lagoon.

Driving over the Hai Van Pass

The next part of our tour was the best…the driving over Hai Van Pass. In Vietnamse, Hai means Ocean and Van means cloud, So you can understand from this name, it was very scenic. Now we were driving up winding roads, you feel cloud cover your car in north side of Hai Van pass (Hue side) to the top of a mountain, with views along Vietnamese coastline. When you go down to Da Nang, it’s cover by sunlight without cloud, it’s so cool. Hai Van pass is the natural border to separate climate between Hue and Da Nang – Hoi An.

Climbing Marble Mountain

To continue our journey to Hoi An, the driver go along My Khe Beach, our next stop was the Marble Mountain – a limestone karst mountain containing a series of religious places and caves. We chose climbed the steps instead of elevator to the top, looked out over thedynamic Da Nang city.

Final Stop: Hoi An ancient town
The final stretch to Hoi An. We were driving in and out of small towns and the going was slow. Our entertainment came from watching the local on their scooter who were transferring dog, duck, pigs chickens, and even motorbike.
At 5h00 pm we arrived in Hoi An. It was a busy day but it was great to combine transfer and sightseeing.
