Philipsburg, PA: Two months before Mark Miscavish shot and killed his wife and then turned the gun on himself Thursday inside a Philipsburg-area grocery store, the retired state trooper threatened to do exactly that, according to court documents. Miscavish allegedly threatened to kill his wife, Traci Miscavish, and assaulted her Jan. 23 inside their Rush Township home days after she told him she wanted to end their 30-year marriage, police said in charging documents against the husband. Carroll Township, OH: A normally sedate part of Ottawa County was stunned Wednesday by news that a Fremont-area man allegedly stormed a two-story farmhouse and shot his estranged wife to death with a 40-caliber handgun. Randall J. Scottsdale, AZ: Scottsdale Police say a man admitted to strangling his wife on Wednesday at a home near Thompson Peak Parkway and Bell Road. According to Scottsdale Police Sgt. Mark Clark, 61-year-old Michael J. Cohn called 911 about 11 a.m. and said he strangled his wife, 60-year-old Linda Cohn. Macedonia, MS: Three victims found dead in their home in the Macedonia community has been ruled a homicide/suicide by the state medical examiner's office following an autopsy. The bodies of 55-year-old Wiley Young, 46-year-old Danica McCord and 13-year-old Destiny McCord were discovered at the 113 County Road 49 resident about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. During the early morning hours of Wednesday, investigators say 46-year-old Thomas Lee Miller killed his wife Natalie outside their Casper home. Monday morning, 44-year-old Larry Maples was charged with capital murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He is being held in the Van Zandt county jail with no bond. Tracy Scott, 47, was being held in the Utah County Jail for investigation of murder, according to Salem City Police Chief Brad James. DeRuyter, NY: A husband and wife were found dead inside their DeRuyter home, in Madison County, in what police are calling an apparent murder suicide. Police say Edward and Michele Green, both 48, were found dead in their home at 1599 Seminary Street early Monday morning. Police say a family member called police around 10 p.m. Sunday night after they had not seen or heard from Michele in over 24 hours. The family member say they could not reach Michele by phone. When police arrived at the home, the house was locked.
