Hammond, LA: A 5-month-old baby was found alive in a home where a man and woman were found dead from a murder-suicide, authorities in Tangipahoa Parish said. The Sheriff's Office said evidence recovered revealed that Brandon Colona, 26, shot and killed his girlfriend Theresa Doby, 21, before turning the gun on himself. El Cajon, CA: Homicide detectives arrested an El Cajon man after finding the body of his wife in the couple’s apartment. Officers were called to the apartment near Main and Ballentine streets Sunday around 7:50 p.m.. They found the body of 39-year-old Gankil Wijdan in a second-floor apartment, Lt. Mike Moulton said. Monroe, WA: A Snohomish County sheriff's spokeswoman says a 34-year-old woman stabbed multiple times on May 24 in Monroe has died at a Seattle hospital. The Daily Herald of Everett reports that Jacoba Ramirez Rodriguez died Sunday. Sheriff's spokeswoman Shari Ireton said Monday that the woman's estranged husband, 32-year-old Oscar Garcia-Pacheco, remains in the county jail, where he was booked for investigation of attempted murder. Omega, GA: A Colquitt County man has been charged with murder following the fatal shooting of his wife early Sunday, law enforcement officials confirm. Steve Turner, special agent in charge for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation office in Thomasville, said that Fousto Gonzales, 36, and Virginia Gonzales, 35, were involved in an altercation at their home at 1498 C.S. South Bend, IN: Local prosecutors aren't releasing details about why a man was arrested but released from jail without being charged three days before he stabbed his 6-year-old daughter to death, despite a protective order. Edward Mwaura, 33, was arrested early Thursday morning after his wife, 32-year-old Lucy Mundia, called police to complain that he came to her apartment at 4252 Irish Hills Drive in violation of a protective order, police and jail records show. Mwaura was booked into the St. Joseph County Jail about 7:30 a.m. and released about 1:30 p.m., according to jail records. Elyria, OH: A 26-year-old mother of three has died and police have arrested her boyfriend for murder. Lauren Moore, of Elyria, was found dead in the rear bedroom of a Washington Avenue apartment Thursday evening. Moore died from multiple blows and from multiple objects to her head and neck, according to Lorain County Coroner Dr. Stephen Evans. Moore also had defensive bruising to her arms, he said. Cape Girardeau, MO: A Cape Girardeau man was charged Friday with two counts of first-degree murder after police say he shot his wife and son as they slept in their beds and then attempted to take his own life. George Edwin Joseph, 48, was arrested Friday after being released from a St. Louis hospital where he was recovering from a self-inflicted wound to his forehead. On Tuesday, Joseph admitted to Sgt. Soldotna, AK: An elderly man and woman found dead in an apparent murder suicide Tuesday evening in Soldotna have been identified. On Wednesday, Alaska State Troopers identified the deceased as 69-year-old Earl Moore and 66-year-old Lynda Moore, both of Soldotna.
